All food is locally sourced and freshly prepared by Beth, who has many years experience in catering aboard sea going vessels.
We find our guests can get pretty hungry after taking in the fresh sea air and snorkelling outside the reef!
Discovery Cruise
For a good hearty lunch our Discovery Cruises include a freshly made filled baguette, served with crisps, plus a fresh fruit platter and beer or wine (Juice for the kids of course!)
Evening Cocktail cruises
Comprise light snacks with one complimentary cocktail per guest. Our cocktail list each night will be from a selection of two of the following:
Rarotonga Sunset - comprising grenadine, orange juice and tequila
Everyone loves a sailor! - A punch with a base of rum of course, me hearties!
Beyond the reef - cocktail comprising a sugar cube dipped in angostura bitters & the glass topped with sparkling white wine.
Snacks include crisps, nuts and dips.
Special occasion buffets
For special occasions we can provide an onboard cold buffet. A typical buffet aboard Tropicbird would be likely to include:
Ika Mata - A pacific favourite comprising locally line caught fish 'cooked' in lime juice and served with coconut milk, tomatoes and onions.
Platter - ham and salami, smoked salmon, cheese, boiled eggs or freshly baked quiche.
Spiced Paw paw - Another island favourite - a lightly spiced paw paw dish.
Rukau - A blend of finely sliced and cooked taro leaves mixed with diced onions and coconut cream.
Salads and accompaniments.
Desserts - if requested can include profiteroles with chocolate sauce, fresh fruit platters, freshly made cakes

PLEASE NOTE:
Whilst we endeavour to cater for special dietary requirements, our catering space is very limited on the vessel. A minimum of 48 hours notice will be required for special diets. Due to the preparation areas we use, unfortunately we cannot cater for food allergies such as nut free diets.
